Alluring Skulls are offensive items in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- A skull with meekly lingering souls. Throw to shatter and spread souls to attract certain types of enemies.
- Souls are a concentration of life, and the life-starved Hollows are lured by its power. Not effective for all enemies.
Availability
- On a corpse in the Undead Parish. On a ledge above the Fang Boar's initial position, where two crossbow-wielding Hollow Soldiers are perched.
- Sold by Undead Female Merchant for 500 souls each.
- Sold by Marvelous Chester for 800 souls each.
General Information
Hurl a projectile, distracting certain enemies to the spot where it lands. Enemies will be distracted to the point of ignoring the player completely for a few seconds.
Alluring Skulls are useful in the fight with the Fang Boar encountered in the Undead Parish as it allows the player to lure the boar closer to the overpass the Alluring Skulls are located on, where the player may then perform a plunging attack. Alternatively, it can be thrown into the fire below, where the Fang Boar will be drawn to it and take continuous fire damage.
Bosses are not affected by the Alluring Skull.
