The Avelyn is a crossbow in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

An extremely rare rapid-firing crossbow.

Fire three successive bolts. Inflict heavy damage by making all three shots count.

Fiorenza, the richest merchant in all of Volgen, recreated this lost weapon after reading of it in an old book.

Availability

• Found behind an illusory wall in the Undead Crypt.
  • From the Undead Ditch bonfire, go through the two grave areas and into a large open room. On the right is an illusory wall. Watch out for the Wall Warriors coming out of the walls.
• The dark spirit, Bowman Guthry, may drop it after being defeated in Brightstone Cove Tseldora, which makes it possible to acquire two Avelyns in NG (SotFS only).

Notes

• Requires Titanite to upgrade.
• A +10 Avelyn has a base damage of 170.
