The Battle Axe is an axe in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Easily-wielded axe crafted for battle and inflicting standard damage. It's weight can be used to inflict high damage, but must be used carefully as it leaves its wielder open to retaliation.

Skill: Warcry
Let out a spirited warcry that temporarily boosts attack, and enables a special consecutive strong attack.

Availability

• Starting weapon of the Warrior class.
• High Wall of Lothric - A Deep Battle Axe is dropped by a Mimic found in a room below the fire breathing wyvern. The player can reach this place unharmed if they time their movements right between the wyvern's fire spewing.

Characteristics

Does not rebound off shields when two-handed. Respectable damage and poise reduction as a standard axe.

Notes

• The Deep Battle Axe found in the High Wall of Lothric has no scaling bonuses due to its infusion. However, it will still deal more damage to non-hollow enemies than most other weapons found early in the game.
  • The infusion can be removed by using a Shriving Stone with Blacksmith Andre, revealing the weapon's base stats and bonuses.
