The Bell Keeper Bow is a bow in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

Wooden bow used by bell keepers. Very light, and requiring hardly any strength.
The bells symbolize forbidden love; the bell keepers, their faithful guardians, ever-ready to annihilate trespassers.
They will stand watch, for ever and ever, these determined, if ill-fated, marionettes.

Characteristics[]

The Bell Keeper Bow is a rather unusual bow, to say the least.

For starters, it is the lightest bow available in the game, weighing in at 0.5 units, making it a prime candidate for lightweight builds, or players trying to not over-encumber themselves.

It also has extremely-low requirements to be used effectively, as it requires a measly 4 strength (in reality, it requires 2 strength as bows must be held with both hands) to be held, and 11 dexterity to use.

It has fair range, much long the Long Bow, yet it handles very poorly, as the draw time to fire an arrow is much longer than average; this is not quite as slow as the Dragonrider Bow's handling, however. It also scales worse than the Longbow, and has significantly lower base damage (55/110 as opposed to 75/150).

Overall, this bow is interesting in multiple aspects, but far from ideal for practical use, as there are far better bows out there that handle better and boast greater damage to boot. It is best to avoid using this bow unless you are at the peak of your equipment load (70.0%), and require a ranged weapon that is very lightweight.
