The Black Knight Greatsword is a greatsword in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Greatsword wielded by knights who served a lord of light in a long-forgotten age.
- Even after their flesh was charred by flame, they remained as strong as ever, and stood watch, challenging visitors to their land.
Availability
- The Black Knight Greatsword can be found in a chest behind an illusory wall in Iron Keep. It is on the ledge after Belfry Sol, where the player can drop down to return to the bonfire. The Grand Spirit Tree Shield and the Protective Chime are found in the chest next to the one containing the Black Knight Greatsword.
- It is also a rare drop from the Kobolds next to the Foregarden bonfire in Aldia's Keep.
Characteristics
Unlike the Black Knight Sword from Dark Souls, this greatsword is longer and deals Fire damage; the moveset is also different than the previous version of this blade.
Interestingly, the Black Knight Greatsword requires more stamina to swing than many other greatswords, but seems to only suffer this effect on R1 and R2s. Rolling and Running attacks appear to suffer no penalty.
