Blessed Gems are upgrade materials in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

A gem of infused titanite. Commonly known as a charm kept by saints.
Used in infusion to create blessed weapons.
Special blessed weapons gradually restore HP and heavily damage reanimated foes.

Availability

Usage

Infuses weapons with Blessed damage, granting Faith scaling but reducing Strength and Dexterity scaling, along with reducing base damage considerably. Additionally, the player gains health regeneration of HP +3 every 4 seconds whilst the infused weapon is drawn. Every level of upgrade decreases the tick interval by 0.25 seconds, down to a rate of HP +3 per 1.5 seconds at +10 upgrade level.

If a weapon with innate, non-scaling Lightning damage is infused, the gem will also add some Faith scaling to the lightning damage.

Weapons with the Blessed infusion will deal 20% bonus damage to undead creatures (e.g., most enemies within Catacombs of Carthus. Killing an enemy with a Blessed weapon also prevents them from reviving.

If infused onto a shield, its damage absorption will drop about 5 points in all stats, except Lightning and Dark.

Notes

  • The Sage's Coal is required in order to use Blessed Gems for infusion.
  • Since the first HP +3 regeneration effect occurs instantly after drawing a Blessed weapon, if the player equips two or more of these in different slots for the same hand and rapidly switches between them, they will be able to regain as much health as desired while on the field.
