Found in the High Wall of Lothric, beyond the Tower on the Wall bonfire, in the room where Greirat's cell key is found. The corpse holding it is found in a small room in which a longsword-wielding hollow is found guarding it.
The Broadsword's wide blade emphasizes slashing, and thus, offers no thrust attacks, which is not atypical of the other straight swords. However, the broad slash attacks allow it to dispatch a group of enemies easily, but misjudging the distance of solid objects will interrupt the animation, rendering the player helpless for a brief moment. It is best to use the strong attacks out in open spaces, and avoid utilizing them in cramped or crowded areas.
- Much like the Long Sword, the Broadsword's weapon art has the player transition into a stance in which they hold the blade with both hands, and hold it up at their shoulder level. Executing a light attack whilst in the stance will cause the player to perform a quick vertical slash that inflicts significant stamina damage, which may result in an opponent's guard being broken; the player may then riposte them with a critical attack, if they so choose. Using the strong attack whilst in the stance will perform a slash similar to the normal art, but with much more potency.
