For the Dark Souls II variant, see Caitha's Chime.

Caitha's Chime is a sacred chime in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Sacred chime blessed by Caitha, goddess of tears. Rare even amongst Carim clerics.
Affected by intelligence, a rare thing for miracle catalysts, and also agreeable with miracles that lean towards the Dark. Its existence is concealed in the name of the Archbishop, as it is anathema.
Skill: Gentle Prayer
Recovers HP for a period of time, albeit extremely slowly. Works while equipped in either hand.

AvailabilityEdit

Found in the Grand Archives, on a corpse lying above a group of Lothric Knights.

CharacteristicsEdit

Unlike most other chimes, Caitha's Chime is a Dark-focused casting tool, which applies Intelligence scaling to Dark Miracles; the Intelligence scaling is not applied to regular Miracles. As such, it scales poorly on a purely Faith-based build, and instead requires the player to raise both Intelligence and Faith equally. However, so long as the player meets the tool's requirements, it is the best chime for casting Miracles such as Dorhys' Gnawing, Dead Again and Lifehunt Scythe.

When compared to the Sunless Talisman, Caitha's Chime has slightly better spellbuff at the soft cap (45 Intelligence and 45 Faith). However, the Sunless Talisman possesses the Unfaltering Prayer skill, which makes it a better overall choice due to the ability to poise cast.

Upgrades Edit

Reinforced with Twinkling Titanite.
