Chaos Storm is a pyromancy in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

The chaos flame is said to have devoured the mother of pyromancy. Create multiple pillars of chaos flame.
Those who sought great power were consume by their own desires. Where are these lost souls now?

Availability[]

Found in a chest on one of the lava trails in the Iron Keep, past the second bonfire. As the item is in a chest which takes time to open, which in itself is fairly far from safe land, very high fire resistance is necessary to retrieve the pyromancy and survive. The pots near a nearby Mimic can be broken to release water and temporarily give the player increased fire resistance; Flash Sweat, Small Orange Burrs, Great Magic Barrier, and appropriate armor can help too.

Another reliable way of accessing the same resistance buff provided by water is to use a Pharros' Lockstone on one of the contraptions in the area to get a huge fire resistance boost.

Also consider chugging an Estus Flask before opening the chest, as the animation is lengthy.

General information[]

Similarly to its cousin from Dark Souls, Chaos Storm is essentially a more powerful version of Firestorm, creating numerous pillars of fire around the caster. Casting Chaos Storm also leaves behind many short-lived pools of lava, which damage any enemy that steps in them.

Considering the higher amount of casts and it requires only one slot to attune, this spell is often more efficient than its more powerful sibling, Outcry, as you are ultimately getting more damage for your slot as well as having room for another spell. Furthermore, as this shares the same start up animation as Fire Snake, in PvP one could constantly switch between these two spells to catch a player off guard.

Attunement milestones[]

Like all other spells, the amount of casts per slot increases upon reaching certain Attunement milestones:
