General information[]

Combustion is a short-range pyromancy. When cast, players emit a burst of flame from their hand, dealing fire damage for 1.8 time the flame's magic adjustment. The casting time is fast with little ending lag. Combustion deals relatively high fire damage especially when considering the earliness with which it can be obtained. It is surpassed by its more potent cousin, Great Combustion.

Overview[]

With 16 casts per slot, combustion grants players a generous portion of fire damage to their arsenal. In many ways, combustion can be seen as another form of melee attack, except that it cannot be parried and has a larger hitbox than most weapons. In PvE, combustion is an excellent supplement to melee attacks, especially against creatures that block with shields as it will usually still deal a high amount of damage to them through shield. Combustion is also popular because it deals damage without burning stamina, while retaining many of the positive aspects of a melee attack. Keeping this in mind, players can quickly deal a high amount of damage to high-HP targets, especially slow-moving bosses, without having to wait for stamina to recharge.

In PvP, combustion is not very popular due to the prevalence of Great Combustion and Black Flame.
