The Dagger is a dagger in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

A standard dagger.
Has only modest attack and short reach, but can be jabbed in rapid succession.
With a powerful critical attack, this is a potent weapon in the hands of the capable.

AvailabilityEdit

  • Found on a corpse in Things Betwixt after the backstab tutorial.
  • Starting equipment for the Sorcerer and Explorer class.

CharacteristicsEdit

Although the dagger has extremely low base damage, it has extremely powerful counter damage and can deal massive damage if used in a backstab, guard break or riposte. It also swings extremely quickly and has minimum stamina requirements, allowing the player to land several more attacks on enemies than when using other weapons.
