Type Armor Sets

The Dingy Set is a light armor set in Dark Souls II.

The set can be acquired from a red phantom at the bottom of the Grave of Saints in NG+. They will not appear with the use of a Bonfire Ascetic.

The red phantom that drops the set is in the same location where you find the Great Heal miracle.

Characteristics Edit

While providing decent overall physical and elemental defenses, as well as moderate poison and bleed resistance, for its weight, the Dingy Set truly shines in its Curse and Petrification Resistance.

Both the Robes and Skirt will grant the highest amount of Petrification Res. in the game, while being about the second best for Curse Res., the Hood and Cuffs are not the best in their category, but they are above most others.

Check the notes on how to attain both Curse and Petrification immunity.

  • The set will be +5 when acquired.
  • The stats shown in the armor box are those the set possesses at +5.
  • Combining the Robes and Skirt of the Dingy Set with the Warlock Mask, and the Engraved Gauntlets will provide the best value for both Curse and Petrify Resistance in the game. Pairing it with the Ash Knuckle Ring, Cursebite Ring and Ring of Resistance, will make most players immune to Curse or Petrification, as the resistance is so high that each respective meter will not be filling.
