Not to be confused with Divine (Upgrade Path).

Aux Divine Divine, also known as Holy, is an Auxiliary Effect in Dark Souls.

General InformationEdit

Divine is an effect possessed by specific weapons that can be attained by either upgrading a weapon down the Divine Upgrade Path or using one that is innately imbued.

Ascension is achieved through Andre of Astora, a Standard +5 Weapon, the Divine Ember for initial ascension, and the Large Divine Ember for further upgrading.

EffectsEdit

The Divine Auxiliary Effect allows one to prevent Skeletons in The Catacombs and Tomb of the Giants from being resurrected. Without a Divine weapon, they will continually reanimate unless the Necromancer of the area is killed.[note 1] Weapons with the Divine effect can also cause extra damage to specific enemies.

LoreEdit

Divine weapons are used for hunting the Undead.[1] When fully upgraded, they are said to be as powerful as the weapons of the Gods.[2] Weapons that are innately imbued are blessed, and are very effective against the Dark.[3]

The Way of White utilizes divine weapons as they aim to rid the land of Undead.[3][4]

WeaponsEdit

The following is a list of weapons that are innately imbued with the Divine Auxiliary Effect.

EnemiesEdit

Like the Occult Auxiliary Effect, the Divine Auxiliary Effect causes weapons to do more damage to specific enemies and bosses that are vulnerable to it.[note 2]
