In the hall before Ornstein and Smough, enter the broken glass window on the upper levels. The Dragonslayer Greatbow can be reached by rolling or jumping from the end of that path. Players can exit through a hole in the fence, leading to a location close to the Giant Blacksmith.
The Dragonslayer Greatbow requires deploying before it can shoot, meaning total starting lag (particularly for the first shot) is much longer than that of other bows; it has a longer draw time to boot. The Dragonslayer Greatbow requires a significant amount of stamina to shoot each arrow, too; at lower levels, it will deplete the entire stamina bar per shot, requiring a brief moment of rest between each shot. The Dragonslayer Greatbow may only use Dragonslayer Arrows or Gough's Great Arrows.
The Dragonslayer Greatbow makes up for its deficiencies by being one of two bows with knockback while also having some of the highest damage per shot in the game.

- Dragonslayer Greatbow shares its range (50) with the Longbow and Short Bow but its Dragonslayer Arrows actually travel much further and can effectively surpass the range of even the Black Bow of Pharis (65). Its lack of real drop off makes it a greater distance weapon than most other bows and able to damage enemies at a range that other bows can barely reach.
