For the Dark Souls II variant, see Drakeblood Set.

The Drakeblood Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls III.

Found in the Consumed King's Garden, on the corpse that teaches the Path of the Dragon gesture. For it to appear, the player must first defeat at least one Drakeblood Knight at Archdragon Peak.

The Drakeblood Set is arguably one of the most well-balanced heavy armor sets found within the game.

It boasts a consistent damage absorption across the chart due to its high physical and elemental absorptions. Unusually for a plate armor set, it is not weak to Strike damage, which gives it a very useful advantage over other sets. Although it does have a weakness against Lightning and Dark damage, it is not far out of line with its other resistances.

The most unique aspect of this armor set is its high resistance to Slash damage and Bleed buildup. In this way it is similar to the Eastern Set, making it very strong against weapons like Katanas and Curved Greatswords, although it is much heavier in return for providing strong defenses against other sources of damage.

The cost for all these strong across-the-board defenses is that the Drakeblood Set has a sub-optimal poise-to-weight ratio. While it can comfortably wield heavier weapons and trade using Hyper Armor, it is less adept in this field than many other heavy armor sets.
