Trivia
- The icon shows an ashen hand that is clutching what appears to be the Pendant from Dark Souls, an item that had little practical use in the game.
- When the Shrine Handmaid is given these ashes, she will ask the Ashen One where they found them. Upon telling her, she will comment how they must have belonged to "one most foolish indeed", perhaps hinting at players trying to figure out the hidden use, which did not actually exist, for the Pendant after Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Dark Souls and Dark Souls III, said he'd either choose the Pendant or nothing as his starting gift.
