The Excrement-covered Ashes are key items in Dark Souls III. They are one of several umbral ashes that can be found throughout the course of the game.

Found in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley.
Head to the lake in Irithyll and look for the entrance to the sewers. Be careful of the Sewer Centipedes in this area and keep a lookout for a small alcove directly across from the stairs that lead to the boss fight. The ashes are on a corpse resting in shin-high water.
