For the Dark Souls II variant, see Executioner Set.

The Executioner Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Steel armor of Horace the Hushed, who took a liking to its cold, bulky insides.
The original owner was said to be a corrupt executioner, who was killed and stripped of his armor.
Horace is one of only two children to escape Aldrich's clutches.

Availability[]

Purchased from the Shrine Handmaid for a total of 18,000 souls after Horace the Hushed is killed.

Characteristics[]

Weighing in at the upper end of heavy armor sets, the Executioner Set provides good defenses as a cost of its weight.

It is extremely resilient against most forms of physical damage, only being weak to Strike damage like most other plate metal sets. It has very good elemental resistances as well, being weak only to Lightning damage, and having higher than usual resistance to Fire damage. It also resists status effects very effectively, only truly being "weak" to Curse buildup.

With a heavy weight and good poise-to-weight ratio, the Executioner Set can reliably wield heavy weapons to trade against enemies, provided that the proper amount of Vitality is invested.

Trivia[]

  • The armor appears to be a reference to the armor worn by Bazuso in Berserk, with the helmet being especially similar to the helmet worn by him.
