Darkwraiths are enemies in Dark Souls.
Location[]
Lower New Londo Ruins, after the water has been drained.
Lore[]
Darkwraiths were once knights of the Four Kings of New Londo before descending into Dark along with their masters.[1] Provoked by Darkstalker Kaathe, they use the art of Lifedrain, the power of the Dark Soul to absorb Humanity.[2] Their threat grew so large that all of New Londo was flooded, trapping them in the Abyss.[3]
Despite being consistently hostile, it seems that they are all part of the actual Darkwraith covenant, and appear as dark servants in other places besides New Londo[4].
Notes[]
Darkwraiths are one of three enemies that drop Titanite Slabs, the others being Crystal Lizards and the Stray Demon; however, Darkwraiths can respawn, thus being the most reliable source of Titanite Slabs in one playthrough.
