The Bonewheel Shield is a greatshield in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A giant wooden wheel, encircled by spikes and half-melded to a strange skeleton.
- Can serve as a makeshift greatshield, albeit one with great gaps. Its true value is revealed through use of its Skill.

Thrust out the wheel and give it a good spin, shredding enemies with the outer lining of spikes.

One of the most unique greatshields in the game, the Bonewheel Shield is designed to be used offensively, rather than defensively.
Boasting a moderate weight and Strength requirement, the Bonewheel Shield's most prominent characteristic is its low stability, making it less useful for blocking hits. Its elemental defenses are also rather mediocre on the whole, despite blocking 100% of incoming physical damage. As such, the shield is much more useful when used offensively as a bashing tool, blocking while attacking. Its skill is also capable of hitting targets multiple times in a single spin, making it particularly deadly if it can catch a foe off-guard.
