The Dancer's Enchanted Swords are soul-transposed paired curved swords in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Paired enchanted swords that Pontiff Sulyvahn bestowed upon the Dancer of the Boreal Valley.
These blades, symbolic of the Dancer's vows, are enchanted with dark magic in the right-hand, and fire in the left, mirroring the Pontiff.
Skill: Dancer's Grace
Unleash the fury of both blades in a dancing spin motion and use strong attack to continue the performance until stamina is exhausted.

Availability[]

Obtained by transposing the Soul of the Dancer with Ludleth of Courland. No souls are required in the transposition process.

Characteristics[]

The Dancer's Enchanted Swords are a rather unique set of curved swords, even among paired weapons. Utilizing the heavy curved sword moveset of the Falchion, the Dancer's Swords will inflict physical damage as well as either Magic or Fire damage, depending on the blade that connects.

The scaling on these weapons is also very peculiar. Leveling Strength and Dexterity will not only increase the physical damage of the blades, but will also increase both the Magic and Fire damage. Leveling Intelligence will increase both the Magic and Fire damage, while leveling Faith will increase only the Fire damage. This means that the most efficient way to increase damage output on these weapons is on a quality build, and that the Fire damage of the off-hand sword will be increased no matter which stat is leveled.

Because of its base requirements and heavily spread-out scaling, the Dancer's Swords can be very difficult to build for. As well, due to being paired curved swords they cannot make use of Hyper Armor in any way, even during the weapon art, short of buffing with Perseverance or Iron Flesh. However, one useful facet of its split elemental damage is that at least one of the blades will meet with low flat defense against human opponents, as resisting Fire and Magic damage would require leveling Strength and Intelligence, respectively, which few builds are capable of. The elemental damage also allows the paired attacks to deal strong chip damage through most types of shields, as most commonly used shields in PvP will resist either Magic or Fire but not both.
