Type | Hands Armor |
The Engraved Gauntlets are hands armor in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Stone gauntlets engraved with odd writing.
Said to bring good fortune to their wearer.
- The wealthy merchant Fiorenza searched for these rare and precious gauntlets his entire life, but was not the one who found them.
- Effect: Rare chance normal attacks become critical hits
Availability[]
Found in Brightstone Cove Tseldora; one must have the Tseldora Den Key to access the chest where it is located. The key itself is only obtained by completing the Pate/Creighton questline.
Characteristics[]
At first glance, the Engraved Gauntlets seem to be very poor stat-wise, as they offer little physical and elemental resistances; however, they makes up for it by having the highest Curse and Petrification resistances in the game for hand armor, and by having a unique effect of a 5% chance for normal hits to deal damage equal to a critical attack. When this effect is triggered, the gauntlets cause an explosion, releasing what seems to be ash around the player.

Notes[]
- Combining these gauntlets with the robe and skirt of the Dingy Set and the Warlock Mask, will provide the best value for both Curse and Petrification resistances in the game.
- Pairing these with the Ash Knuckle Ring, Cursebite Ring and Ring of Resistance, will make most players immune to Curse and Petrification, as the resistances will be so high that each respective meter will not fill at all.
