For the Dark Souls III variant, see Carthus Flame Arc.

Flame Weapon is a pyromancy in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

Pyromancy that imbues weapon in other hand with fire. Adds fire damage to the types of damage the weapon already inflicts.
Pyromancy and sorcery are said to be like oil and water, but in fact their origins can be traced to a common source.

Availability[]

Received by trading the Old Witch Soul and 10,000 souls with Straid of Olaphis.

General information[]

When cast, sets the weapon in the opposite hand alight, much like using a Charcoal Pine Resin does. The flames add 50 Fire attack to any weapon, as well as boosting the player's fire bonus by 30%, for 90 seconds. This spell is best used on Fire infused weapons. On un-infused weapons, Charcoal Pine Resin gives better results, especially if the weapon has inherent Fire damage, such as the Chaos Rapier (which is recommended to leave un-infused).

Attunement milestones[]

Like all other spells, the amount of casts per slot increases upon reaching certain Attunement milestones:
