The Great Lord Greatsword is a greatsword in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Greatsword born from the soul of Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. As bearer of the ultimate soul, Gwyn wielded the bolts of the sun, but before linking the fire, divided that power amongst his children, and set off with only this great sword as his companion.

The Great Lord Greatsword is created by ascending any Standard +10 greatsword, ultra greatsword, straight sword, or dagger at the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo with the Soul of Gwyn, Lord of Cinder and 5,000 souls.
Characteristics[]
The Great Lord Greatsword has a fairly quick swing speed compared to other greatswords and has good base damage. However, its stat scaling is unremarkable, requiring large investments into both Strength and Dexterity to bring out its full potential. Additionally, its strong attacks, while particularly powerful, have very long windups during which the wielder is defenseless. For PvE, it is usable but tricky; for PvP, it is not recommended.

Trivia[]
- Unlike the version wielded by Gwyn himself, the Great Lord Greatsword available to players lacks the fiery effect, and thus does not deal fire damage. Players cannot even imitate this attribute with Charcoal Pine Resin since the sword cannot be augmented.
