The Painting Guardian Robe is a chest armor in Dark Souls. It is part of the Painting Guardian Set.

In-Game Description

Robe worn by the alabaster-clothed guardians of the paintings in Anor Londo. Offer substantial protection versus magic.

They have guarded the Great Painting of Ariamis for ages, passing their duty down through generations, but the reason for doing so passed from all memory long ago.

Availability

Found in a chest within the Painted World of Ariamis, in a room with two Snow Rats. 

Characteristics

Offers little Physical defense, but it has high Magic resist and the highest Poison resistance of any chest armor when fully upgraded.

When wearing certain types of hand armor or no hand armor, the Painting Guardian Robe's sleeves will be rolled down. However, when worn with any other hand armor, the sleeves will be rolled up to the elbow. This has no effect on gameplay.
