Rusted Gold Coins are consumable items in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A rusty old gold coin that surely has no currency.
- Crushing the coin gives a large, if temporary, boost to item discovery.
- A rich man lost his fortune, but it returned to him twinfold. He was swift to squander his retrieved fortune., smugly confident that it was bound to double once again.
Availability[]
- A set of 7 coins can be chosen as a burial gift at the beginning of the game.
- Firelink Shrine
- Gifted by Unbreakable Patches if the player does not forgive him for trapping them in the tower containing the Fire Keeper Soul.
- Farron Keep
- One is found on a corpse near the extinguishable flame nearest where Yellowfinger Heysel invades the player, hidden behind the wall to the right of the flame.
- Irithyll of the Boreal Valley
- One is found at a dead end alley after the Church of Yorshka, on a corpse being devoured by two Irithyllian Beast-Hounds.
- One is found on a corpse at the Distant Manor, off the ledge at the bottom of the curved staircase.
- Irithyll Dungeon
- One is found on a corpse shortly after the Irithyll Dungeon bonfire, in the last cell on the right before the first Jailer. The cell is locked and requires the Jailer's Key Ring to open.
- Profaned Capital
- Dropped by Jailer Handmaids throughout the level.
- Two are dropped by a Mimic in the treasury hall to the right of Yhorm's boss arena.
- Painted World of Ariandel
- Three are found on a separated rooftop within the Corvian Settlement, which requires climbing to the crosswalks to the cliff above the settlement and then dropping down to reach.
- The Dreg Heap
- Three are sold by the Stone-humped Hag directly in front of the Dreg Heap bonfire for 1800 souls each.
Usage[]
Increases Item Discovery by 100 points for 60 seconds.
Notes[]
- Effect stacks with other items that boosts Item Discovery.
- Although the coin is stated to be made of gold, gold does not rust.
- Can be used on ladders.
