The Sorcerer Hat is a head armor piece in Dark Souls. It is part of the Sorcerer Set.
In-Game Description
- Hat worn by proper sorcerers who studied at Vinheim Dragon School.
- The majority take pride in having studied at the academy and look down on breaking the formal dress code established for sorcerers.

This set has average defenses for its weight, except its magic defense which is the highest of all the starting sets.
Notes[]
- Grants 100 souls when fed to Kingseeker Frampt.
- Since the sorcerer set has above-average magic defense, low-level players are encouraged to upgrade this set (in anticipation of the Moonlight Butterfly boss fight located in the Darkroot Garden) for 2 reasons: the extra magic defense will make the fight much easier, even if you have a low maximum health; and, the very very light weight won't inhibit your movement as you dodge the butterfly's magical attacks.
