For the Dark Souls II variant, see Denial.

Tears of Denial is a miracle in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Miracle taught by Morne, the Archbishop's apostle.
Grants one chance to endure when HP reaches 0.
Intended to grant the dying a few moments for a final farewell. Tears are shed for the sake of the living, more so than the deceased.

Availability[]

Sold by Irina of Carim for 10,000 souls once she has been given the Braille Divine Tome of Carim.

Effect[]

When Tears of Denial is in effect, it will allow the player to survive a single killing blow, leaving them at 1 HP.

Notes[]

  • Tears of Denial only expires when reaching 0 HP, which means they can rest at bonfires and even remove the miracle, freeing up two Attunement slots while still being under its effects.
    • However, the miracle will be removed if the player goes through a load screen, such as by using a Homeward Bone, exiting the game, or entering another player's world through summoning or invasion.
  • Tears of Denial will also prevent death by Curse. However, curse build-up will not be cured, meaning that this effect has no practical application.
