Type | Heavy Armor Set |
The Throne Defender Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls II.
Availability[]
Purchased from Maughlin the Armorer for a total of 52,400 souls after spending 10,000 at his shop and defeating the Throne Watcher and Defender.
Characteristics[]
Although it is a heavy armor set, the Throne Defender's Set is noticeably more resilient against strike attacks, which is usually a key weakness of any heavy armor set.
The set provides well-rounded defenses for its weight, though it is noticeably weaker against lightning attacks.
The set also provides 1 point of Faith when wearing at least 3 pieces (so far only tested with all but the helmet).

Trivia[]
- Ironically, the Throne Defender's armor set is weak to lightning damage, while the Defender himself uses lightning against the player whilst buffing their greatsword. This is interesting, considering the fact that the Throne Watcher imbues her greatsword with magic, but yet her armor set is far more resistant to magical damage.
