Burrowing Rockworms are an enemy in Dark Souls.

Location[]

They are encountered in Demon Ruins.

Description[]

Rockworms are large, centipede-like enemies that burst forth from the ground, walls and ceilings. They spit a corrosive acid that greatly damages equipment, possess mandibles for grabbing, and utilize a mouth for devouring. Those who come too near may receive a rough bashing from its tough, dome-shaped cap.

Notes[]

  • The one located next to the bonfire does not respawn.
  • Like many enemies found in the Demon Ruins, they are highly resistant to Fire.
  • They are vulnerable to the toxic effect, making Dung Pies a very easy way to dispose of them (about 2 per enemy).
  • They can only drop their items on the first death therefore being a poor choice for "farming".
