- For the Dark Souls III variant, see Twisted Wall of Light.
Twisted Barricade is a hex in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- A hex that distorts local space.
For a brief moment, spells are deflected.
- Hexer Gilleah never took an apprentice, making it unclear how his spells were passed down.
It is even possible that hexes came from another source entirely.
- Catalyst: staff
Availability[]
Found in the Doors of Pharros, in a cavern to the left of the entry to the Ordeal's End bonfire.
General information[]
Similar to Repel, casting Twisted Barricade creates a dark sphere; however, this sphere causes the player to deflect all spells for one and a half seconds after casting. Although deflect spells are not redirected towards the original caster, it is possible that a deflected spell can damage a moving opponent.
A unique trait to this hex, as well as Repel, is that it is not affected by Casting Speed. As such, it does not matter what staff is used to cast these hexes.
Twisted Barricade is less versatile than Repel. However, it takes one less attunement slot and has far more casts than Repel. These qualities can make it a better choice in certain situations, such as when fighting casters.
Attunement milestones[]
Like all other spells, the amount of casts per slot increases upon reaching certain Attunement milestones:
