The Yellow Quartz Longsword is a straight sword in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

A straight sword affixed with yellow quartz. This longsword was found in the Iron Keep. Breaks easily due to corrosion, but is light and still inflicts very significant damage.

In the Old Iron King's great iron keep was a vast collection of weapons, erected as a display of strength to the world. But they were lost when the king's conceit doomed the castle to sink into a lake of fire.

Availability

This sword can be purchased from Chancellor Wellager in Drangleic Castle for 8,000 souls or obtained as a pre-order bonus weapon.

Characteristics

This version of the Longsword has long reach, but low durability and scaling.

Due to the quartz covering the tip of the blade, it is no longer used for thrusts. It instead has the Broadsword moveset, composed entirely of slashes.

Moveset

Attack	Description
One-handed Weak Attack	Fast downward diagonal slash from right to left. Further input slashes horizontally back to the right.
One-handed Strong Attack	Run up before hitting in a wide arc from right to left. Second input slashes horizontally back to the right.
Two-handed Weak Attack	A swift downward diagonal slash, from right to left. Further input slashes horizontally back to the right.
Two-handed Strong Attack	Large sweeping slash, from right to left. Second input slashes horizontally back to the right.
Jump Attack	Standard plunging attack with short range.
Running Attack	Fast parallel 180 degree slash from left to right.
Two-handed Running Attack	Running downward slash.
Rolling Attack	Large upward diagonal slash from left to right.
Two-handed Rolling Attack	Slash from left to right at a low angle.
Power Stance Weak Attack	Sweep both weapons from left to right, then back to the left at a downward angle.
Power Stance Strong Attack	X-shaped slash.
Guard break	Standard guard-break.
Off-handed Weak Attack	Fast downward diagonal slash from left to right. Further input slashes horizontally back to the left.
Off-handed Strong Attack	Run up before hitting in a wide arc from left to right. Second input slashes horizontally back to the left.

Reinforced with Titanite up to +10.
