Due to its autonomy, this spell could be useful to deal safely with a large amount of enemies, allowing the player to simplify their work. It can also stun-lock enemies that are trying to hit the player.
In a PvP battle, this Pyromancy could be useful to inflict extra damage to the opponent: if the enemy locks on the player, it is possible that during the fight they can't locate the Floating Chaos and get hit.
The orb can also be useful for applying pressure to a target, or forcing them to roll. While a wary enemy can easily dodge the incoming fire, this can make them dodge at an inopportune moment, creating an opportunity to roll-catch them with a weapon if they are close enough.
- The duration of the orb is affected by Lingering Dragoncrest Ring. Normally the orb will attack twice before vanishing, but with the ring equipped it can attack three times.
