Great Soul Arrow is a sorcery in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Sorcery which improves upon Soul Arrow. Fire strong soul arrow.
- At the Vinheim Dragon School, the acquisition of this spell marks an apprentice's coronation as a sorcerer.
Availability
- Sold by Griggs of Vinheim for 6,000 souls, provided that the player has 10 Intelligence or higher.
- Sold by Big Hat Logan for 6,000 souls, initially with a 15 intelligence requirement but removes this after the player rescues him the second time.
General information
Great Soul Arrow has 20 casts per copy and requires 14 Intelligence to use. Shoot a vivid blue bolt of energy at enemies. It requires slightly more time to cast than regular Soul Arrow and has 10 less charges, but deals greater damage. Each cast deals magic damage worth 1.3 times the player's catalyst's magic adjust.
The higher damage almost perfectly counters the lower number of uses, and makes it so that Great Soul Arrow has almost the same amount of total damage per attunement slot as the regular Soul Arrow spell. The higher power of the Great version makes it more useful for efficiently combating mid-to-late game enemies.
