The Guardian Soul is a consumable item in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Soul of the white winged lion sanctuary watchkeeper, who dreaded the spread of the Abyss.
- The Guardian exhibited traits of several animals other than lions, suggesting that it was no ordinary beast, but rather closer to the beings known as Demons.

Dropped by the Sanctuary Guardian upon death.

Can be consumed for 12,000 souls, or fed to Kingseeker Frampt for 10,000 souls.

The Guardian Soul was originally supposed to be able to create a weapon, much like a normal Boss Soul, but the developers removed the weapon before the DLC was released. Thus, it's only use is, in fact, to gain souls.

Confirmed sources from FROM, the soul was originally inserted to make a weapon, but it was taken out of the game before the weapon was actually made, and since they already made the sprite and description etc. they just left the soul in the game. The only use of it is to gain souls, and to look at the description.
