The Gyrm are enemies in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

A stocky, powerful race which once dwelt aboveground, they were regarded as inferior by humans and unjustly exiled below. They are amicable by nature but harbor an intense distrust of surface dwellers, particularly humans; in additions many of the Gyrm living in the Doors of Pharros have gone Hollow and become threats to the living.[1]

Gyrm are found in the Doors of Pharros.

The stocky Gyrm are kind-natured, but humans deemed them impure and drove them underground.

Although small, the Gyrm fight with vicious force. They wield flails that they swing like whips and can combo up to three swings in a row. Due to their small size, they can be easily stun-locked. This can be used to gain a significant advantage over them.

They are often found in a sitting position, facing away from the player's path. This, combined with their poor hearing, makes them very susceptible to backstabs.
