Characteristics
The Gyrm Set is the heaviest medium armor set available in the game, topping off at a weight of 29.7 units, surpassing the weight of both the Drakeblood Set and Benhart's Set.
At first glance, this set appears to be rather redundant in most regards, as many players are often thrown off at the very low elemental defenses the set provides; this set is ill-advised to be used against mages and the like, but players can mitigate this somewhat with the use of the Dispelling Ring (+1) or Magic Barrier/Great Magic Barrier.
However, where this set shines is in the amount of Poise; it provides the highest amount of Poise out of all the medium armor sets, even besting the amount provided by the lighter heavy armor sets. It also has a resistance to every auxiliary effect present in the game, most notably its unusually high resistance to poison, and very high physical defenses.
Trivia
- The chest armor resembles the very armor worn by Domhnall of Zena from Dark Souls: the Armor of the Glorious.
