Characteristics[]

A classic returning from the previous two games, the Hard Leather Set provides a decent amount of protection across the board and is quite lightweight. It is generally resistant to all forms of physical damage, save for being slightly more effective against Strike damage. Its elemental resistances are somewhat lower, being particularly weak to Lightning damage despite not being a plate armor set.

It is especially effective against all forms of status effects, particularly against Frost and Poison buildup, and also provides an appreciable amount of Curse resistance. It also only provides a token amount of Poise, making it sub-optimal for wielding hyper-armor weapons.

This makes it a well-rounded set overall that will work in most situations.

Trivia[]

  • All pieces of the Dark Souls III variant provide Poise. This is in contrast to previous installments, which specifically noted that the helm was the only part to grant any Poise.
