Characteristics[]
The Ice Rapier is widely regarded as one of the most powerful rapiers in the entire game, if not the strongest of all.
This is due to the fact that aside from the Ice Rapier possessing the longest reach, the lightest weight and the largest amount of Counter damage for its class, it also has an incredibly powerful special ability when using the strong attack (both one handed or two handed), that sends a projectile similar to the Soul Spear spell, and if used at close range, the weapon can hit the enemy itself and deal even more damage.
Additionally, the weapon is an excellent choice for infusions as it trades minimal physical damage for an exponential amount of elemental damage, and this will buff the damage of the special attack itself.
After all this, however, the thing that causes most controversy amongst players is how the Ice Rapier can then, on top of this all, be buffed with spells like Great Magic Weapon or Crystal Magic Weapon, which will even further increase the damage to ridiculous amounts, allowing anyone with even average skills to kill anyone with very few hits.
