Lapp's Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City.
In-Game Description
- Steel armor of the amnesiac Lapp.
- This plate-armor body, that covers the torso cleanly without even slight gaps, provides heavy defense.
- Quite fit to conceal a hollowed body, and indeed, one's very identity.
Availability[]
- Left by Amnesiac Lapp at his final meeting place in the Shared Grave, at the end of his questline.
- Sold by the Shrine Handmaid for a total of 31,000 souls if the player kills Lapp.
Characteristics[]
Lying in the middle of the spectrum of heavy armor sets, Lapp's Set provides strong overall defenses.
The set has very strong physical defenses for its weight, rivaling or even surpassing Havel's Set in most categories. Even its weakness to Strike damage leaves it well above the defenses of most other heavy sets. Its elemental defenses, while moderate, are still respectable, and even its weakness to Lightning is not far out of line compared to its other elemental resistances. Its only true weakness is its low tolerance to Curse buildup, but otherwise it has sound resistance to status effects, especially against Bleed.
It has a strong poise-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for wielding heavy weapons and trading using Hyper Armor.

Trivia[]
- Lapp's set was originally intended to appear in the base game as the "Heavy Knight's Set", but was ultimately cut and then reused in The Ringed City.
- Even before the release of The Ringed City, the armor was fully functional, having proper models, textures, stats, and even descriptions for each piece. However, it was only obtainable through save editing.
- When the helm and armor are worn together, the neck piece that secures the helmet to the breastplate will appear. This will negate all forms of head movement for the character wearing it.
- The set is based on a combination of 16th Century Stechhelms intended for lance jousting, and 17th Century Cuirassier Armour intended for cavalry gunners. Unusual, given the lack of firearms and horses in the game.
