The Longbow is a bow in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Large bow. Projectile weapon for experienced hunters. Equip arrows to use.
- Hold bow and press L1/RB to aim. Aim for heads of humanoid foes. Press L2/R2 to change type of arrows.
Availability[]
- Found on a corpse in Darkroot Basin along with 16 Feather Arrows and the Hunter Set.
- Rare drop from bow-wielding Undead Crystal Soldiers in The Duke's Archives.
- Drop from bow-wielding Giant Skeletons in Tomb of the Giants.
Characteristics[]
The Longbow has the same range as the Short Bow and deals slightly more damage. In exchange, it requires slightly higher Strength and Dexterity to wield. It is also of "Long Bow" category, giving it a slightly lower rate of fire.
While it has a lower scaling with dexterity than the Black Bow of Pharis, it will usually out damage it, thanks to its higher base damage and strength scaling.

- The Longbow features an unusual bug where the animation for drawing the bowstring back does not occur.
