Is there any way we can edit our home front page so that we don't need to go to the portal page when, for example, someone clicks on Dark souls 2. I think it would make it much easier and much more organize. But that's just my opinion.
Good luck in life and may you forever cuddle a platypus named steve in your dreams cuz he seems like a really cool dude. For real though it was super fun playing and working with you while it lasted and you did good by the wiki so kudos to you mate.
Good day, Cosmic, I'm glad to make your acquaintance.
With the upcoming release of Dark Souls III, it's expected that a lot of interest in the franchise will raise in the following months. I've seen more and new visitors as each day goes by and, fortunately, more people are editing and uploading files (images and videos).
I've been updating pages on a daily basis for almost a year now (11 months) and I thought this would be a good time for me to ask for a promotion to become an administrator here, that is if you're okay with it. Please take a moment to review my contributions page and let my work speak for itself. I hope you'll see that all of my editions are honest and always with the aim of providing the most faithful information to others.
I'm a bureaucrat at the Castlevania and Jem wikis (the latter which I practically brought back to life); I'm just bringing this up so you feel more confident about what I can do here, as I'm quite acquainted to how a wiki is managed. I'm planning on keep on working continuously here and having a little more control would help me a lot. I also love tidying up pages and organizing stuff, and I can guarantee you that I'll make at least one edition every day, even if small.
I'm also asking for rights since I've seen most administrators haven't logged in here lately or, if they do, don't appear to interact with the wiki anymore. Perhaps you could discuss about my promotion with Matsczon, who I believe is well aware of the daily contributions I've been making all this time and has been very nice and helpful in those times I've needed aid here.
Thank you for reading and I'll be anxiously waiting for your answer.
I believe you would need to make a consensus track for such a discussion. According to the logs though, you've been infinitely banned from the chat, but I wasn't there when the violation was supposed to have occurred so can't confirm on whether it's a valid ban.
It would be nice if those inactive admins could be demoted (say, the ones that have been inactive for more than one year), so that the list isn't cluttered up in inactive crats/sysops.
The ban is valid, I once incurred into a violation without even knowing it. I very, very rarely enter chats, though, and I'm more interested in adding information to articles and organizing the structure of a wiki.
Hello there Cosmic, I wanted to submit an application to become a chat moderator here on the Dark Souls WIki.
I have noticed that the amount of currently active chat moderators seems to be waning, as many of the old ones tend not to be coming around anymore. I feel that having only two active mods, being Ogwit and Alchie, may lead to some issues once the chat starts becoming more active upon the release of Dark Souls III, which many of us are sure will be the case. And with all groups of people, there are always likely to be the unsavory ones.
You know me, I've always been very kind and respectful to everybody I meet on the wiki chat. I like to think that I'm fair, and I treat everybody who goes on chat with equal respect. I've been coming around the wiki for almost two years, and have gotten to know a lot of people here. I care about the chat, and dislike seeing when people are rude, hurtful, or are harassing other users.
I myself don't have any record of being kicked or banned from the chat or from the wiki in general (are far I know that is). The Dark Souls Wiki has helped me a lot, and I'm not the best at editing or adding to pages, but I would really like to give back to the wiki community in the best way that I can. I hope you take the time to look over my application, and consider everything I've had to say so far.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you have a nice day.
