Olenford's Staff is a staff in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Staff of Olenford the sorcerer. A catalyst for sorceries and hexes.
- Olenford, revered as the father of sorcery in Melfia, sought knowledge that surpassed mankind's ken, and so ventured into the Undead Crypt, and did away with his humanity.
Availability[]
In the Undead Crypt, after falling down a hole, right after the two Imperious Knights. An illusory wall hides a Pharros' Contraption, which upon activation reveals another illusory wall where a chest holds Olenford's Staff and Great Lightning Spear.
Characteristics[]
Despite it's unique nature and hefty Intelligence requirement, Olenford's Staff is average at best. The Witchtree Branch, when fully upgraded (with Titanite) has the same Dark damage and higher Magic damage with the same scaling, with a vastly lower INT requirement and much higher cast speed. Olenford's Staff has a lower than average cast speed and upgrades with rarer Twinkling Titanite instead.
