The Onislayer Greatbow is a greatbow in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

A unique greatbow handed down in an eastern land, where tales are told of its use in slaying giant horned oni.
Drawing a bow of this size takes time, and leaves the user vulnerable. Only specialized great arrows can be fired from the bow.
Skill: Puncturing Arrow
Masterfully fires off a great arrow that pierces through all enemies in its path, inflicting damage.

AvailabilityEdit

Located in the Profaned Capital. Can be found when jumping from bridge leading to Yhorm the Giant.

CharacteristicsEdit

Unlike its Alonne cousin, the Onislayer Greatbow is primarily a Dexterity-scaling greatbow; when wielded two-handed, it requires as little as 12 Strength to wield. It is also 2.5 units lighter than the Dragonslayer Greatbow, and only 1 unit heavier than the Dragonrider Bow, allowing characters with low Vitality to carry it without much issue. However, given quality attribute distribution, the Onislayer Greatbow is out-damaged by the Dragonslayer Greatbow.

The Onislayer Greatbow is the longest-ranged bow in the game, outclassing even the Black Bow of Pharis. When combined with the Hawk Ring and Onislayer Greatarrows, this gives it extreme range, allowing players to hit targets from very far away with minimal arcing and damage falloff. This can be very useful in situations where an enemy's distance would reduce the accuracy and striking power of other bows.

Although it does not require a securing spike, the Onislayer Greatbow is still incapable of moving after nocking a greatarrow.
