The Parrying Dagger is a dagger in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

Unlike standard weapons, this dagger is equipped on the left hand for parrying.
Accomplishments are forever out of reach to those who constantly fear failure. A true warrior hones his body and mind, and peers far beyond immediate hardship.

Despite having decent scaling, the low base damage and lack of a strong attack makes the Parrying Dagger unfit as a main weapon.

However, it performs well when used for its intended purpose: the strong attack performs a parry which is among the best available in the game. With a low amount of startup frames, moderate amount of active parry frames and very fast recovery (on par with medium shields), the Parrying Dagger is a choice tool for deflecting enemy attacks and opening them up for a riposte.
