Availability

Effect

These arrows deal a flat Poison buildup value of 300, plus their physical damage.

They are easily one of the best form of damaging arrow types in game, due to its easy of availability (through Lonesome Gavlan) and also due to its relatively low price, for the time players starts having access to them.

The best way to utilize this ammunition, is by taking cover from an advantageous area with good line of sight and firing at larger and healthier enemies who are at a long distance. This is because it takes usually about 5 arrows to inflict poison as a status effect. As such, enemies such as Ogres and Giants are very easily handled, provided the player has some patience and good sniping point, from which to fire the arrows from.

It is also important to note that this type of ammunition is, by itself, a very good reason to keep a bow around at all times, seeing as there are no Crossbow Bolts that inflict poison as a status effect.
