The Ring of Blades is a ring in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

The Ring of Blades is modeled after the mad knight of Alken's weapon of choice.
Increases physical attack.
The kingdoms of Alken and Venn long ago flourished on these very grounds.
They were both founded by the same man, but were reduced to rivalry and spite.

Increases physical damage by 20/35/50 points for the base, +1, and +2 versions respectively. This boost is applied to the weapon's scaling. As such, low damaging but quick hitting weapons will benefit more from this ring.

Oddly enough, some specific lines of weapons, like the Black Knight weapons or the Dragonslayer's Crescent Axe, still gain the full benefit of the ring, even if they inflict other damage types besides physical damage. However, weapons that have been infused with anything other than Raw, Mundane, or Enchanted will have their damage increased to a lesser degree. Furthermore, weapons that do not inflict physical damage at all, such as the Moonlight Greatsword, will not benefit from the ring at all.

  • In the original Japanese description, the mad knight of Alken is named Adgars, in the same text, Alken and Venn are never specified to have been founded by the same man, but rather described as "having the same origins".
