Shieldless Lothian is a mentioned character in Dark Souls II. He was a warrior from the now defunct kingdom of Forossa.

Lothian was born as a peasant in Forossa but, due to his unmatched diligence and determination, rose to the rank of general. In battle he wielded a battleaxe with both his hands, earning him the nickname "Shieldless". After a while Lothian abruptly disappeared, it is said he grew bored of his frail human enemies and sought out dragons to test his strength.
