Smough's Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls III.

Sold by the Shrine Handmaid after defeating Aldrich, Devourer of Gods.
Characteristics
Piece by piece, Smough's Set is by far the heaviest armor set in the game, although it compensates this by providing the best defense against physical attacks among all other armor sets. While not boasting the best defense against elemental attacks, those it provides are definitely above average and should also keep its wearer well protected against them, nonetheless.
The set can only be purchased from the Shrine Handmaid once Aldrich has been defeated, which means that the player will only be able to get their hands on it in the late game.
Each piece is notably heavy, even when compared to other similar pieces among the heavy armor sets category. Its weight even surpasses that of Havel's Set, which can be considered an alternative that sacrifices physical in favor of elemental protection. The player will need to make heavy investments in Vitality in order to equip this set and still be able to roll at least at medium length.
For these reasons, the set should be saved only for particular occasions, like fighting bosses or powerful enemies, and it is also advised to do so in conjunction with Havel's Ring and/or the Ring of Favor.
