The Sniper Crossbow is a crossbow in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Large crossbow with long distance used by Carim snipers. Often used with sniper bolts.
- But while crossbows are normally easy to use, the Sniper Crossbow requires dexterity.
Availability
Found along with 12 Sniper Bolts on the roof of Sen's Fortress; off a corpse not far from the bonfire. It can be reached by falling down the gap between the Crestfallen Merchant and the rest of the level (the player will sustain a high amount of fall damage unless Fall Control is used).
Characteristics
The Sniper Crossbow is heavier and weaker than the Heavy Crossbow, yet is stronger and heavier than the Light Crossbow.
Notes
- Despite the fact that the player character holds the crossbow differently than the others, as if they are looking through the scope, like all crossbows it can not be aimed manually. This makes it difficult to use for the intended purpose of sniping, although it can be free aimed with the Binoculars.
